Sew Me a Scientist

The big mister was jealous of all the sewing I’ve been doing for the princess, so we finally came up with a plan that satisfied his aesthetic tastes.  It’s hard to make a hand made item of clothing for a nine year old boy!

In honor of the Project Run and Play hand stitching competition, I hand did the felt beaker and buttons.  I did go back and machine stitch the beaker on for added strength.  And I started with a finished shirt from the hand-me-down bin.  I was planning to cut it down to make it fit better, but he LOVED it big, so it probably doesn’t even count for the competition.  But I wanted to share because I thought the flask was too cute.

He wanted his photos in the studio with his beloved microscope.
